Rules and Regulations

  • 1) All rounds will be virtual
  • 2) Each team consists of 1-3 members
  • 3) Registration starts on 20th November 2021 and ends 30th November 2021
  • 4) All team members should be from the same institute
  • 5) Team members can be either from the first year, second year or a combination of both. All branches of MBA are eligible
  • 6) No participant can be a part of more than one team for the same event. Multiple registrations by the same participant will lead to disqualification
  • 7) Teams should register with a name which does not reflect the name of their B-School or city where the college is located
  • Rounds


    Round 0: Online Quiz-

  • 1) Round 0 will be an online quiz
  • 2) This will be an elimination round
  • 3) There will be no negative marking
  • 4) Anyone member from the team can play the quiz
  • 5) There will be 20 multiple choice questions to be solved in 10 minutes
  • 6) The quiz will test the knowledge of participants across various aspects of corporate finance, derivatives, private equity, and current affairs in the business domain
  • 7) Details of further rounds will be communicated to the qualifying teams

  • Round 1: Case Study-

  • 1)Participants will be given a market index (ex: Bank Nifty, NIFTY FMCG) from which they would have to choose a company of their choice and perform an equity analysis and valuation
  • 2)Participants are required to submit a presentation along with an excel sheet containing their financial model. The presentation should NOT contain more than 10 slides (including the title slide and Thank You slide). Participant’s submission should contain these relevant headers:
  • 3)Industry Overview and outlook
  • 4)Company’s projected cash flow statement, balance sheet, and P&L for 3 years
  • 5)Risk Evaluation
  • 6)Management and Peer Analysis
  • 7)Financial Ratio Analysis
  • 8)Any other exceptional item that the participant finds relevant
  • 9)Recommendation – Buy/Sell/Hold
  • 10)Target price with a view of 3 years
  • 11)The last date of submission is 8th December 2021

  • Round 2: Presentation Round-

  • 1)Shortlisted teams will present their equity research report and their recommendation to the judges on an online platform
  • 2)The time allotted for each presentation will be 10 minutes followed by 5 minutes of Q&A session by the judges
  • 3)Presentations submitted in Round 1 will be used for the final presentation. No alterations to the deliverables would be allowed post submission
  • 4)ffParticipants should not use the name or logo of their institute in any deliverable
